The mausoleum of Seyh Edebali a prominent founder of the Ottoman Empire is worth a visit. Nearby is the Orhan Gazi mausoleum in whose memory a festival is held every September.

30 kms from Bilecik is the small town of Sogut where the Ottoman Empire was founded. The Ethnographical Museum here is worth a visit if you want to know about Turkey`s history.

A well-known landmark in Bilecik is the Watch Tower - a four sided structure with a clock on each side It stands on a hill dominating Biecick city.

Bilecik province has two renowned mineral resorts, namely:

The Osmaneli - Selcuk resort - This is just 9 kms from Bilecik and can be reached by road and rail. Here the water comes from four fountains. This water has the curative properties of other spa waters and also helps in dissolving kidney stones.

The Sogut Calti thermal resort - This water comes from a spring 30 kms from the resort. It is known to cure skin, rheumatic, stomach and gynecological diseases. It is also used for drinking and bathing.

Plateau Tourism

The highlands of Bilecik province have a number of plateaus making possible what can be called plateau tourism. These plateaus have a lush covering of fir, pine, beech and juniper trees. Some of them have a lovely meadow like appearance and are very attractive summer camping sites. The Komursu plateau is a good site for winter tourism also. The Kamci plateau and the Sofular plateau at an altitude of 1600mtrs are the other good sites for plateau tourism.
