Those with a love for all things natural will enjoy their visits to the Otlukbeli Lake. Declared a natural preservation field, the lake is also a natural monument with a unique calyx form. On the Kesis Mountain, the Aygir Lake (Stallion Lake) has been formed out of a volcanic crater. It is a place of breathtaking natural beauty where the turquoise waters of the lake reflect the lofty peaks and the verdant greenery.

29 km southeast of Erzincan, is the Girlevik Waterfall, located in the Çaglayan Stream. This is a prime picnic spot where tourists flock, attracted by its pleasantly chilly environs in the summer and the bountiful climbing possibilities that the stalactites offer in the wintry months.

Kemaliye, situated on the blanks of the Firat River is reputed for its lush scenic views and artistically bedecked quaint homes.

More natural wonders abound at the icy Glacier Caves of the Ayranpinar village of Kemah district and the Köroglu Cave, located at the Altköy locality of Refahiye district atop a flight of stone stairs. Ala Cave, located at the southeast of Kemaliye district houses numerous galleries and channels.

For a date with luxurious indulgence, get a taste of the Erzincan thermal resorts, the most notable of them being Eksisu, 11 kilometers away from the city center. The waters around here are agreeably balmy and is known to cure numerous conditions like anemia, liver, stomach, intestine and gall bladder diseases, rheumatism, skin diseases, varicose veins and cardiac ailments.
