Festivals in Izmir

Apart from the religious festivities of the Islamic faith, Izmir is known to host numerous cultural events and festivals. The one-month long International Izmir Festival being held in Izmir since 1987 comprises recitals and performances from many local and world-class artists and entertainers.

Izmir European Jazz Festival (being organized every year since 1994) brings together masters and lovers of Jazz.
