Specifications of Turkish Flag

The flag of Turkey is red with a vertical white crescent (the closed portion is toward the hoist side) and white five-pointed star centered just outside the crescent opening. The 2` x 3` and 5` x 8` Flags are made of colorfast, 100% nylon with durable canvas header and brass grommets. The 3` x 5` Indoor flag has a pole hem and gold fringe. The 4" x 6" are made of rayon and mounted on a black plastic staff with a gold spear top.

The fundamentals of the Turkish Flag were laid down by Turkish Flag Law No. 2994 of May 29, 1936. Turkey`s flag was adopted on June 5, 1936. The height of this flag is two-thirds the width.
