When you visit Cappadocia do take a taste of its cereals, potatoes and wine. But the fruits of this region are said to be the best in all of Turkey because of the pigeon droppings. However, local food is also famed in all of Turkey, so do have a helping each of the "manti", spiced dried beef pastirma, sea bass, skewers of flat kofte and round it off with the aniseed spirit raki and su boregi (pastry).
