Getting to Hattusas
If you are thinking of visiting this intriguing place but without any clue of how to go about it, then here are some tips. If you have a driving license, a good driving history and above all, if you like driving, then hire a car. It is only a two and a half hours drive from Ankara and you get a magnificent view of the Anatolian hills. Take the highway 200-E88 out of Ankara and look for signs for Samsun, then turn for Corum driving past Delice and Sungurlu and look for Bogazkoy. The highway runs through a barren land that seems to be pregnant with unknown histories and stories untold. The only thing to be kept in mind is to fill up your tank before you start on the journey for you will not get anything other than diesel further down the road.
