Sardis Restaurants

Snacks and drinks are readily available in the village but your visit will remain incomplete unless you try out the typical cuisine of Sardis. Famous among these is the "tripe soup" and the special "pilaf". The other delicacy is the "meat-ball" which is only available here. These are wrapped in filo dough and deep-fried before serving in garlic sauce.

The pastry combined with saffron sauce and grilled eggplant is a popular food of the region too. Other traditional dishes are the Kesek and the Pastirma. Kesek is a wheat meal with lamb and Pastirma is a meat dish seasoned with 41 different spices for flavor.
